Eclectic programming to enjoy in great conditions
There used to be four cinemas in Dudelange, a dynamic city in the south of Luxembourg. Thanks to CinéStarlight, which opened in December 2007, the inhabitants of Dudelange and the surrounding area have discovered anew the pleasure of going to the movies. The two screens at the Centre national de l’audiovisuel (CNA) are equipped with 2K digital projection systems and 7.1 sound systems, ensuring excellent image and sound quality.
CinéStarlight 1 and 2 have 144 and 50 seats respectively. In addition to the weekly releases, the CinéStarlight offers meetings, debates, première screenings, live broadcasts from London’s Royal Opera, as well as our traditional ‘ciné-goûters’ for younger audiences. Since media education is one of our main missions, the CinéStarlight also welcomes throughout the year schoolchildren at screenings followed by discussions with experts. The CinéStarlight also hosts festivals such as the Festival du Film Italien de Villerupt and the Luxembourg City Film Festival.
