The 2024 Europa Cinemas Awards Winners were presented with their awards at Vilnius’ Forum Cinemas by Europa Cinemas board members Maria Magdaléna Gierat (Kino Pod Baranami, Poland) and Mustafa El Mesaoudi (Lichtblick Cinema GmbH, Germany).
Best Programming: Biografen Zita, Stockholm

The Best Programming award was given to Biografen Zita for their dedication to showing a diversity of European films that reached a wide range of audiences. Biografen Zita focuses on European and world cinema, with a specific emphasis on screening films from under-represented regions, as well as educational programming and documentaries.
Best Young Audience Activity: Skalvija Cinema Centre, Vilnius

The award for Best Young Audience Activity was presented to Skalvija Cinema Centre for their outstanding programme of young audience activities. Skalvija’s central mission is in screening quality arthouse European and world cinema, and offering a range of film education programmes for young audiences of all ages.
Best Entrepreneur: Stadtkino im Künstlerhaus & Admiral Kino, Vienna

A new award for Best Entrepreneur was given to Stadtkino im Künstlerhaus & Admiral Kino for their impressive work in adapting to amplify the diversity of European film through new initiatives, taking on a second cinema venue in the city and constantly stepping outside of their comfort zone to reach wider audiences.
